I watched my grandmother with wide, eager eyes, her hands moving deftly as she prepared my favorite breakfast tacos. As she worked, she would hum a soft tune, her voice a soothing backdrop to the morning routine. My anticipation grew with each passing moment, my mouth watering at the thought of the warm, savory tacos.
